I hope the notetakers don't disappear too soon, but I think the folks who believe they will disappear aren't correct. Maybe some people like to use their cell phone to do things a computer does, but not me. I want a cell phone to be only a phone to make calls with. I don't want my notetaker to be a cell phone. I want my notetaker to be a word processor, calculator, scheduler, and so on. I have never seen a 40 cell braille display cost less than $5,00, and I've never seen a 40 cell braille display cost in the $3,000 range. If I'm going to spend $5,00 for a braille display, then I want it to have all of the features of a notetaker because I'm not getting my money's worth if I can't do more than read with it.
