I haven't had to send my Apex back to HW, so I can't speak to that issue. But, on the two occasions I have contacted them via email, they have responded quickly, meaning within a day, if not the same day. And, they answered my follow-up question just as timely.
I didn't realize there was a discount for purchasing a two year warranty, as I purchased the one year one through Sendero a few months back. And, although I may not ever use the warranty, knowing how potentially expensive these units can be to fix, I normally do try to keep the warranty up to date, at least for the first few years until I start thinking about selling the product. ----- Original Message ----- From: Crystal French <[email protected]> To: "Braille Note List" <[email protected]> Date: Wednesday, Aug 3, 2011 07:02:08 PM Subject: [Braillenote] extended warranty > > > Hi, > I received a letter from Humanware today. > > The warranty on my Apex BT 18 will be expiring soon. > > I have had no issues with my unit, I am happy to say. > > I would be interested though in hearing from anyone who has had to send a > unit in for servicing. > > Do most of you pay for an extended warranty? > > It appears that there is a discount for a two year warranty. > > Thoughts? > > Crystal > ___ > Replies to this message will go directly to the sender. > If your reply would be useful to the list, please send a > copy to the list as well. > > To leave the BrailleNote list, send a blank message to > [email protected] > To view the list archives or change your preferences, visit > http://list.humanware.com/mailman/listinfo/braillenote > ___ Replies to this message will go directly to the sender.
