Hi. I was wondering, why can't I send attachments through Keymail? Whenever I try to, it gives me an error message. Thanks in advance for your help!

I haven't had to send my Apex back to HW, so I can't speak to that issue. But, on the two occasions I have contacted them via email, they have responded quickly, meaning within a day, if not the same day. And, they answered my follow-up question just as timely.

I didn't realize there was a discount for purchasing a two year warranty, as I purchased the one year one through Sendero a few months back. And, although I may not ever use the warranty, knowing how potentially expensive these units can be to fix, I normally do try to keep the warranty up to date, at least for the first few years until I start thinking about selling the product.

Hi,
I received a letter from Humanware today.

The warranty on my Apex BT 18 will be expiring soon.

I have had no issues with my unit, I am happy to say.

I would be interested though in hearing from anyone who has had to send a unit in for servicing.

Do most of you pay for an extended warranty?

It appears that there is a discount for a two year warranty.

Thoughts?

Crystal

Hi Alex,

I'd like to try both, so if you can send me the steps for both
(on list or off,) that would be great! I'm using a PC running
Windows 7 with JAWS for Windows version 12.

Which one, a pc or iPod? I ask because the procedure will be
quite
different depending on which machine you plan on using. If it is
a pc,
which screen reader will it be used with? Or is it a mac, with
VoiceOver?

Hi everyone,

How do I connect the terminal for screen reader so it works as
the
Braille display for my PC? When that happens, will the keyboard
of the

sync it

I am curious though, since I have never gone on web sites with
the BN, does the BN get a lot of cookies and have to be cleaned
up.

Hi,
It does - just like any browser. And you tend to clean the temp

Hi Sabahattin,

"Your accounts?" Does this mean you linked mine and Carlos's? As
I said before, I only saw one authorization request a couple days
ago from your domain, accepted it, but didn't see any more after
that. I can still log into FB, but my accounts still aren't
linked. I don't know if this matters to you or not, as I believe
it's just a FB security measure. Every time I log in now, it
doesn't keep me logged in, but asks me for my username and
password. I type that in, and click the log in button. It then
says "name new computer." This happens even if I'm logging in
from the same machine I've been logging in from.

I've already linked your accounts. Go back to Google, restart

The error you see is not unexpected. It seems KeyChat does not
sign in to FB chat more often than not.

I tried with both of you, but your usernames don't seem to be registered with Facebook. Neither www.facebook.com/dotkid nor www.facebook.com/carlos1209 are valid. I can't proceed without working usernames, so please check those first using www.facebook.com/username . I've had to unregister the accounts until then, but leave the contact authorised in KeyChat.

I don't believe these can be linked to the registrations, because I've never been able to log your accounts in. You'll know when it happens.

Hi everyone,

I don't know if Facebook has beefed up security or something, but
whatever it is, it's annoying. First of all, whenever I go to
Facebook, it asks me to log in, which it hasn't before. I type
in my email address and FB password, click the Login button, then
it takes me to a page that says Name New Computer. It asks me to
name the machine I'm logging in from. This happens every time I
log in, even if I'm logging in from the same machine (my BN Apex,
usually.) So I hit the continue button, and it goes to my home
page. Now, when I type in a status update and hit the share
button, it takes me to a page that says security check and wants
me to fill out a kapcha, which, as you know, is inaccessible.
So, is there a way that I can stop this and operate Facebook, or
will I need a sighted person with me on a PC every time I get
into Facebook? Thanks in advance for any help!

Chris

You need a sighted person and a PC to solve the CAPTCHA one time. If Facebook are asking you to authorise connections from San Antonio, TX, that's my transport, so approve that if you want to use it. Otherwise check the message and act on it, and your account will be unblocked again for the mobile site.

Yes, it's annoying. Sorry about that.

Sabahattin

Hi everyone,

Ok... um... I've solved the kapcha with sighted help when I first got my account. I haven't seen any connection requests from San Antonio,
TX, so maybe I already accepted it or something.
