It was moved to trash, where it will stay for 30 days. After that, it will be truly deleted.
To view other folders, which gMail calls labels, go to the bottom of the page and move back by link until you see things like inbox, sent, all, starred, and so on. You will also find a "more" link, which lets you decide which labels are displayed. To include a label while on this "more" page, check the box next to it; to exclude a label, uncheck the box. You can only create labels in basic html view, not in mobile view, but everything else I've said is for the mobile view.
