Hi Christina, I suggest reinstalling the Hotfix. I installed it and can now unpack any book I want.

Hi BrailleNote users, HW staff and others,
I'm delighted to announce the release of BrailleNote PBWorks version 8.0! This version is one of the revolutionary versions released so
far, yet it still gives the familiar interface of the site.
But first, a bit of a mixed news:
As you may know, some of us are working on a brand new user site for
BrailleNote user community. As of Aug, 29, the site is about 95%
complete - all that is needed is just a few finishing touches and
testing performance. I expect to announce about this site within the next five to seven days. In fact, BrailleNote PBWorks 8.0 is just a
shadow page for what's coming on the new site.
As a consequence, the "old" PBWorks site will be closed once the new site opens. it was a hard decision to make, given the popularity of the site among newbies and power users alike. But, it's safe to say that most of the PBWorks content has been transfered to the new site,
with some of the old elements still intact.
Now, to what's new with the new version:
* Site section menu: On top of every page, you'll see a list of
sections of the site, such as Support Hotline and News Center. This was done for easy navigation to desired section from anywhere on the site. However, to go to front page, use "BrailleNote" link from top of
the page.
* Centralized view of all pages: A dedicated site map has been created to showcase all pages on the site. For ease of navigation, pages were sorted alphabetically. This page is also part of new navigation menu. As always, the website address is braillenote.pbworks.com. if you have
any comments, please let me know.
Cheers,
Joseph

Hi, I would also like the settings. I have tried to follow some settings that someone sent to the list before but I don't think they worked so I
would like to try again.

Hello listers. Does the BN support DOCX file extensions? I've upgraded to Microsoft word 2010 and my BN 32 apex cannot recognize it. Any feedback would be most helpful.
Thank you.

You try, and fail but the only true failure is when you stop trying!

Hi,

I am having trouble unpacking Bookshare books on my Braillenote Apex Bt. I get to the password box and then I put in my password and after
that I get the following message:
Unable to unpack file. Error code: 9
I installed the hotfix for this problem but nothing has changed and
the installation was successful.
Any ideas on how to fix this?
Thanks.

Not yet. HW said it would with the 9.1 update, but it didn't. They have now said it will be in a patch to 9.1, but we are waiting on that and have been since the upgrade happened. In the mean time, though, just save your files as Word 97-2003 and they should open fine with
ks9.1, even if they have images, tables, and other formatting.
