Thank you Josh! I completely forgot about changing the keyboard settings! I
changed it to 8 dot computer braille, and it's working fine now!
Thanks a lot!

Hey Randy, I think you have to go back into keyboard settings and change
use 6 or 8 dot computer braille to 8 dot. The thing about the 4-5-6 reset
is that it is the clear settings reset, so all the settings are set back
to factory defaults.
HTH!
Best,
Josh

Subject: [Braillenote] using dot 7 for shift in computer braille?
Hi all,
Has anyone had any problem using dot 7 as the shift key for computer
braille with the Apex running the latest version of keysoft?
I was using 8 dot computer braille with no problem with dot 7 as my
shift -- to me a much more consistent way of making sure appropiate
capitalization is there instead of using the chord u... I reset the
machine with both a standard warm reset and a reset with 456. In either
case, my dot 7 is no longer working as the shift key...
Suggestions?
Thanks,
Randi
