Hi,
Mobile Device option is added during ActiveSync installation.
To get it to work as braille terminal, you need to connect the
cable, go to terminal and activate it; then restart whatever screen reader you are using. The next question would be: did you plan to use ActiveSync for file transfer or Internet connectivity?
Cheers,
Joseph

hmm Ok I will try that, now this morning I can't get it to work as a Braille display either.. boo! I am starting to wonder if there is a short
in my cord that goes between the Braille note and the computer.

I am using active sinc becasue I thought I had to, is there another option? My computer seems to recognise that I have a "mobile device" there but when I open it nothing is shown, I thought maybe because the Braille
Note uses Windows CE?
Ack I am so confused!

Hi,
I wonder if Serial port is selected as connection option in ActiveSync? Also, before connecting to ActiveSync and after connecting the cable, go
to
ActiveSync, then select Connect. Then while the sound is being played, go
to Utilities Menu and select the first option.
Something I wanted to ask for a while: can you tell us the reason for
trying
out ActiveSync? Thanks.
Cheers,
Joseph

sinc?

Hi everone,

I have a Braille note classic (qt) I am able to connect it to my computer (windows xp) and run it as a Braille Terminal with Jaws 4.02 on "com 1" but when I try to hook up using active sinc it doesn't work. Any thoughts? I have tried almost all the versions of active
sinc there are! I don't understand what the problems is!
Thanks
Kerri
