Hi list,
First, the name of the software is active sync, as in synchronizing two
devices. It works on XP, but for Vista or Windows 7, you need a more
recent program which is discussed in the Braille Note manual chapter
14.14. The more recent program is called Windows Mobile Device Center.
The manual I have is the one for the BT, not the QT. I installed WMDC,
and find that although I can move around the file structure on the Apex
via the PC when the Apex is connected, moving files to the Apex from the
PC is very slow, so I use an SD card as my main Apex drive and use a
card reader (built into the PC motherboard) to add or remove files. I
don't use any software such as Outlook, so I have no need to synchronize
anything.
I hope this helps.
Mary
