Hi,
Have you tried installing 32-bit version of WMDC on your computer? If this version fixes connection problem, then we've got about a third done with fixing the sync problem. If after installing 32-bit version of WMDC and if KeySync works, then the remaining problem would be file sync. I'll ask others to comment on what the actual purpose of Apex is, since it differs from one person to another. But, personally, I tend to view Apex as the "reading machine" - that it supports PDF text extraction and supports wide array of books.
Cheers,
Joseph

Subject: [Braillenote] syncing issues continue

Hay all,

I have been trying to find a way to get the apex to sync up with the computer, since Humanware has utterly failed to make Windows Mobile Centre
function correctly.

I first thought that I could use Sync Toy, a little Microsoft syncroniser to do this. Unfortunately Sync Toy does not recognize portable device folders
as folders.

I then thought that I could access the Apex over the network from the pc.
Unfortunately, this too does not seem to work.

Thus, can someone please enlighten me, what does this machine actually do
right?

Thanks,

MJ
