Hello. I do not have an Apex (I use an Mpower), but one of my friends uses an
Apex BT.
She converted from Mpower to Apex in late May. She noticed that the recording
quality was better than
on the Mpower, usually. (The two of us being musicians, we liked recording!)
Well, she tried
recording something at 44,100 hz on her Apex BT, and she said that the pitch of
the sound got lowered
by a fraction of a tone. I didn't actually hear the result, but she said that
the pitch got reduced.
She records everything at 11,025 hz, because at that frequency, the pitch
doesn't get reduced at
all. I'm wondering, why would the pitch get reduced when recording at 44,100 or
22,050 hz
on an Apex BT? She can't figure it out, even though she's pretty good with
music technology.
I couldn't figure it out, even though I'm pretty good with technology in
general, even some
programming. But then again, I don't have an Apex; I'm just repeating what the
user said.
