Hi,
Yes - you can indeed use a card reader with the Apex to read
various card types, including a second SD card, micro SD, CF and
others. The largest CF card in existence is about 128 GB in
size, and the largest SD card availible is 64 GB (theoretically
should work, given that current SDHC standard supports earlier
SDXC standard).

I'm back after a month or so away; needed a break, I guess.
There are three USB ports on the BrailleNote and you might be
able to
plug a card reader into one of them, but I haven't tried it, so
am not
sure it would work. If it does, you could use a card reader with
a CF card.
I've gained a lot of respect for all the work that's been done
with
braille in the BT. I've never seen such flexibility in a braille
device.
There's a lot going on "under the hood", so to speak. Not
perfect,
judging from what I see on the list, but certainly admirable.
Hurray for
what Humanware has put into such a small device!
