Hi,
What Bluetooth driver - Toshiba, Witcom, etc. are you uiing? I assume you've initiated the pairing process from the PC. If that's the case, don't configure JAWS settings until Apex was connected from your PC, because the com port that PC thinks that Apex is connected might not be the one that JAWS is looking for. Also, when choosing the braille display, select BrailleNote signed.
Cheers,
Joseph

Subject: [Braillenote] Apex as Braille display via Bluetooth

I have been attempting to get my apex running keysoft 9l.2.0 to be
recognized as a Braille display under jaws 13 via Bluetooth.
I have installed the humanware jaws drivers, and assigned comm. port 2 to be
used.

I turned on Bluetooth on the apex.
I have attempted to connect to the apex via Bluetooth from my pc.
I selected serial for the connection type.

I get the error
"connection failed"

If anyone has successfully gotten an apex to pair via Bluetooth with a pc under windows 7, or anyone has any suggestions, I would appreciate hearing
about it.

Many thanks.

Phil
