Hi. I have a question about using a bookport as a card reader for
a BrailleNote Apex. A bookport is a device for blind and low
vision people to use to listen to books and music. It's
connectivity options are a compact flash slot and a port for a
usb cord. I am wondering if it is possible to hook a bookport up
to a BrailleNote Apex with a usb cord and then put a compact
flash card in the bookport and have the compact flash card come
up on the BrailleNote Apex as a hard disk. If this is possible,
then what kind of usb cord would I use and would I put batteries
in the bookport or would the bookport run on the power from the
usb cord? The reason I am asking is that I may be switching from
a BrailleNote Empower to a BrailleNote Apex soon and I have read
that the BrailleNote Apex won't have a compact flash slot.
However the BrailleNote Empower that I have now has a compact
flash slot. The problem with this is the bookport does not have a
spot for any other type of storage card. I want a way to be able
to get mp3 files from the apex to the compact flash card on the
bookport. Thank you in advance for any help. sent from my
