Hi,
I think your best bet would be to call Humanware, because I had that happen with my BrailleNote with Keysoft 9.0, and I ended up having to send mine in. Not that you'll have to do the same, but that was my experience. Hope this helps!

Subject: [Braillenote] Apex losing speech

                        Hi All,

I have been helping out a friend who has the Apex BT32, the same
model as I have. On her machine, speech will suddenly stop for
no
obvious reason. The machine does not freeze, but there is no
sound. This was happening under Keysoft 9.1 and we thought the
upgrade to 9.2 might fix the problem, but it hasn't. It happens
very often indeed, sometimes two minutes or so after a re-set.
A
re-set always cures it, but it will then recur. I do not have
this
problem at all. Have you come across anything similar, and are
there any settings which may be causing the problem? I should
add
that we are both using Keynote speech rather than Eloquence, as
Eloquence seemed even more problematic sometimes causing freezes.

Any thoughts please?

Best,

Peter
