Hi,
Another note to add (after thinking about this for a while):
the addition of random strings happens at "to" field in email
address (not other fields) and it often happens on a duplicate
email address e.g. You typed something like [email protected]
and later find that this address was entered again somehow to the
second "to" field with this odd character (or, in some cases,
some string) at the end. If this happens, one of the following
two messages are given during send/receive operation:
A. "Error communicating with server": This is likely due to
duplication of the original recipient address with some odd
characters added (usually control characters or parts of the last
prompt spoken). The first thing to do is check the recipient's
address (go to OutBox and examine the first email to see if there
exists an email address in the second "to" field with some odd
content at the end). Delete this address and at the "ready to
send" prompt, answer yes and try sending again. If the
communication error comes up again, this means the email needs to
be rewritten.
B. "Error 501: syntax error": this results if the second "to"
address is not a duplicate address from the primary recipient (in
some cases, this happens if duplicates exist) and if there are
special characters (usually control characters) at the end of the
second recipent's address. In this case, just like the first
scenario, examine the second "to" field to see if something was
added at the end of the email address. A simple remedy would be
retyping the email address, press ENTER, exit, say "yes" to send
prompt and try sending again. If syntax error occurs again, then
rewriting the email would be in order.
This can happen for a number of emails: if you find that some
emails are sent while others gives you the error message, examine
the first email in the OutBox to remove the offending email
address. After dealing with each email, try sending to see if
the problem has been resolved.
Cheers,
Joseph

I know keymail sometimes adds random characters to the end of
email
addresses in outgoing messages, even characters that you cannot
see or
hear when you read the address back. It is likely that this
happened
to that problematic address. Next time it happens, try removing
that
address (space-3-5-6 I think) and adding it again.

Hi. It turns out that my gmail and keymail work fine. I am

could not do it that way and
I had to use the gmail website to send to that address. Once I
removed the
email to the person with the problem address from my outbox, My
other emails
in my outbox sent fine. sent from my BrailleNote
