Hi,
These files come with Windows CE as part of the CE's system
image.
Some definitions of file types you can encounter:
* DLL: Dynamic Linked Library, a program module that does some
tasks on behalf of another program such as audio playback,
braille display controller and hardware rep.
* CPL: Control Panel extension (not used by KeySoft).
* INI: Settings file for a program (not used by KeySoft).
* JPEG, GIF and PNG: image files.
Well, at least these are the common files availible that doesn't
work with KeySoft (at least that's what the users would say, but
DLL's are used by KeySoft sometimes).
As for exe's, they work under BrailleNote because they were
written for Windows CE (the only useful programs are command line
interpreter, MAC address lookup and formatter for SD cards).
Cheers,
Joseph

Subject: [Braillenote] unusual types of files on Mpower
How does the Mpower under KS 6.2 treat GIF, DLL, BMP and JPEG
files? I know that
most EXE files for Keysoft will run in the "Application" utility,
but what about the others? And other
similar formats like Control Panel Extension, CPL?
