I guess some clarification on a number of recent posts would be
in order:
1. Viruses and BN: First of all, I'm sorry to inform that the
message from Zach is a hoax - it was circulated before in some
forms but it turned out to be some hoax. And I did write to Zach
privately expressing some concerns. As for BN catching viruses:
no because of the reasons already given. So, I'd like to
cordially advise: if you'd like to forward a post from some other
lists, let's think about its relevance to BrailleNote before we
click send button. Thanks.
2. Extension packages: No, you don't have to install packages
for KeySoft extensions on the Apex (including GPS) since Flash
Disk already has those files. All you need is the unlock key for
the extension in question. The only time you would reinstall
packages would be when you do Clean Reset, which is something I
dare not ask you to do unless circumstances permit it (not the
most destructive one, but the one below that).
