Hi,
DOES she get some sort of error when she attempts to send a test email? If so, then it is likely that one of the outgoing server settings doesn't match. Could you check the following settings on her daughter's unit:
* SMTP server address.
* Secure connection for SMTP server
* SMTP authentication required.
* SMTP port.
I took a quick look at AOL and POP/SMTP settings, and here's the settings:
* SMTP address: smtp.aol.com
* SMTP authentication required: yes.
* Secure connection: yes.
* SMTP port: 587.
Hope this helps. And if she has an email account (like Gmail), could you tell your daughter to perhaps join this list so we can help her better? Thanks.
Cheers,
Joseph

Subject: [Braillenote] AOL on APEX

Hi,

I am trying to help my daughter set up her AOL e-mail account on her new APEX and have been able to get the incoming to work but not the outgoing. Would someone be able to give me the setting she needs to use to set this up
on APEX's native e-mail client? Thanks so much.
