Meir: First, don't reformat your laptop, or you will loose everything on your laptop, including your operating system, which means someone who is sighted will have to rebuild your computer, for you.
Probably your computer is getting more emails, this means you need to delete old unwanted emails, and then compact your email folders, after deleting the unwanted msgs, and then clearing them out of your "deleted" folder. Are you using email on the web, or are you using a program like "outlook" to read your mail on your pc? Since you are talking about the Braille Terminal, I think you are using JAWS or some other screen reader to access your pc. Your pc is like your APEX, in that it has a database system for your emails. You need to compact that database, after you have deleted and cleared the unwanted emails out of your "deleted" folder. The delay would aloso show up on your screen, as the PC is slowing down, very slightly, as it has more work to do, or the web where your email is stored is having to do more work.
