Hello listers. OK, lest anyone want to respond accusing me of complaining, let
me beat you to the punch by saying that, yes, I am just becoming a regular
complainer on this list. I am not complaining about the inability of the Apex
to send email on my SBCglobal account. This time it’s about the Apex browser
not keeping up with changes to websites. As a case in point, I used to listen
to aircraft radio traffic on a site called Top 50 air traffic control something
like that. Recently when I have tried to use the site on my Apex, it doesn’t
work. Checking the site on the PC I find that it has been re-done. It is no
longer possible as far as I can tell, to use this fun site. I know this is a
nitch kind of thing where most users aren’t interested, but it does indicate
that when the web changes as it is doing all the time, the Apex just doesn’t
come close to keeping up with this ever changing environment. I ask you, is
this just one more nail in the coffin indicating the end of proprietary
notetakers?? I just wish HumanWare would come clean and tell us what, if
anything is being done to address problems like this, and of course my ongoing
email issues. How many people who use Androids or I-phones would put up with
such issues if they started having them with those products. Of course I
forgot, that for those devices, programmers have at least some access to the
software and can develop app’s that keep up with changes in a variety of
environments. Well, I won’t go on, just wanted to vent on a Saturday night.
You gotta agree, it’s better than getting in to a fight with someone on a
Saturday night right?? Best regards to all, Jim
