Hmm, this is a brand-new unit but I can't remember if it was like this for as long as I've had it - around a month. The trouble is that I might also just be a teensy bit obsessive about nothing. :P
Can you run your fingers along the top edge of the cursor routing buttons where they touch the casing of the BrailleNote, and see if there's the tiniest, most subtle curve/tiny depression at any point?
