Hi Charis,

Welcome to the list! I don't yet have the latest version of KeySoft, but there are a number of ways to convert DOCX files into readable formats. You might try emailing the file to [email protected], putting in the subject line the format in which you'd like to receive the file (DOC and TXT have worked for me). You will then receive the file back in your desired format within a few minutes. Also, DOCX files can be accessed via the web-based version of Gmail, which is free and also serves as a great way of saving email, in case keymail breaks down (which, sadly, it often seems to, though less on the Apex than the mPower).

Hope this helps!

Lucy

Subject: [Braillenote] Reading Docx Files with Latest Version of BrailleNote

Hello,

I am new to the list and am learning a lot. I am working with someone who is purchasing a BrailleNote and will have version 9.2 of KeySoft. Can you read Office 2007-10 files (specifically docx files)? I thought that this was one of the new features in the latest upgrade but can't find anything to support
that.

If you can't read them is there a way to convert them in case someone emails
you and you don't have access to a computer?

Thank you.

Charis Austin
