Hi Charis, Welcome to the list!! To answer your question, there is unfortunately no way to read DOCX files in the latest version of KeySoft. However, there is a way to convert them using a service called RoboBraille. Here is what you do:
1. On your BrailleNote, send an email to [email protected]. 2. In the subject line, put in the file format in which you want the file converted. For example, you can convert the file to .doc, .txt, or .brf. 3. Attach the original DOCX file to your email. After you send your email, you should see an email within a few minutes with the converted file attached. Hope this helps, Chris -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Charis Austin Sent: Sunday, April 15, 2012 5:28 PM To: [email protected] Subject: [Braillenote] Reading Docx Files with Latest Version of BrailleNote Hello, I am new to the list and am learning a lot. I am working with someone who is purchasing a BrailleNote and will have version 9.2 of KeySoft. Can you read Office 2007-10 files (specifically docx files)? I thought that this was one of the new features in the latest upgrade but can't find anything to support that. If you can't read them is there a way to convert them in case someone emails you and you don't have access to a computer? Thank you.
