Hi Brett, this is unfortunately a problem which has plagued BrailleNotes from day one. The trouble is that it doesn't happen on everybody's unit or in the same circumstances. For example, the problem used to happen to me all the time when I owned a BrailleNote Classic, but my friend's Classic absolutely never exhibited the problem.
I now own an Apex and haven't had the problem yet [knock on wood] but that doesn't mean it couldn't or wouldn't happen. Make sure you communicate this to Humanware so that they know it is a serious problem on your unit: unrelated to your editing skills or anything that you would personally be able to prevent.
