I would suggest using thev freshly scanned notes, as your backup, for now, and then giving your ACER a good virus cleaning. The ACER could have also picked up some Braille codes depending on whether you used the APEX as an input keyboard.

Hi folks, Happy May! I hope everyone is doing well. I’m just fine except in co-taught economics where earlier today, I discovered that over 5 pages of notes had been corrupted, and a file with a .tmp extension was the first file in my econ\notes folder. I told the student that works with me that I was having trouble accessing the notes on the apex and on my acer. Being the nice, understanding person he is, he said he’d scan in the notes and send them to me and my case manager so I could open them using Kurzweil. I spent the rest of his class preparing a backup of my files, then with my acer, formatting and re-copying the entire school folders (of which there are several more) to my thumb drive. It is one of those that slides in and out, and I believe it is a u3 cruiser (drive name is removable disk (g.)) Any suggestions? Is that file coming from the bn or the acer computer? What could I do to prevent it happening again?
