Tom,
Unless your BrailleNote tells you "computer Braille is required,"
you won't need to write the string you are searching for in
computer Braille. If you're writing it in grade 2 (contracted)
Braille, and you are looking for a number, you will need the
number sign, which is dots 3-4-5-6. If your BrailleNote tells
you that computer Braille is required, and you are searching for
a number, enter the number in like you would in Nemeth.
Hope this helps,
Chris

Subject: [Braillenote] Finding numbered items in a Word Document
broughtinto the Braille Note
Hi, all.
So far, your suggestions for finding specific items, and specific
pages, in
Microsoft Word documents, have been working, but I have one
instance that is
stumping me.
Even though I'm taking over the Department Head position at the
University
where I work, I will still be teaching on occasion, and am trying
to figure
out how to find specific questions on multiple-choice exams that
I give.
For example, if I bring the document into the Braille Note Word
processor,
and do a control F for find, how do I indicate the question
number? I have
tried control F followed by 32 in nemeth code without the number
sign, but
no luck.
Do I need the number sign? If so, what is it in computer
Braille?
Thanks!
