Hello Vicky, thanks for your reply. fortunately this fixed itself. Just another strange thing with A-T-And-T I guess. Smiles. It lasted a little over 24 hours and then worked fine. Yeah, when it started, I created another connection configuration and still received the same pop error.

I got this same error with my AT&T account
late Monday evening as well.  And, by the sound of it, even
though I hadn't changed a thing, it gave the impression that I
had something configured incorrectly.  So, I went back in and
re-entered my username and password, and, at least for now,
anyway, I'm able to send and receive mail with my Apex without a
problem.
