I think you want to have the cursor follow along when you edit documents.
The closest answer is to put your display in edit mode. In this mode, you
will see all of the format characters and the cursor will always be on. To
use edit mode, press the previous and next thumb kezs simultaneously until
you see "edit mode". I don't remember for sure, but I think when you press
the advance or back thumb keys, the cursor will go to the beginning of the
next display. Someone can correct me. You can also scroll through a document
line by line, sentence by sentence, paragraph by paragraph or page by page.
Every time you press the previous or next thumb keys, you can move the
cursor to the beginning of the scrolling increment you chose. (To scroll by
page, you would press function down arrow or function up arrow.) You can
also use the cursor routing buttons. If you are reading in grade 1 or grade
2, the cursor routing buttons may jump to the beginning of a word. When the
cursor is on a word, the word is in computer braille. That's why the cursor
may not be on the cell you wanted it to be. If you want to, you can read
your documents in computer braille. Then, your cursor will always be routed
to the exact spot.
I can't answer your question about higher pitch for capital letters because
I hated that choice. I used say cap instead.

Well, I have been working with my new qwerty-style Braille Note Apex QT32,
and I can tell you that it seems to be working much better for me than the
BT32 did.
I simply seem to feel more comfortable with the qwerty keyboard
arrangement.
Anyway, I'm trying to master the ins and outs of Word Processing on the
QT32, and have several questions. I hope I verbalize them clearly. If
not, please let me know, and I'll give it another try.
Here are my questions:
1. How can I configure the QT32 Braille display main cursor to follow
along when I am editing a dopcument, rather than being stationary at the
point where I initially started reading the document with the thumb keys?
In other words, when I'm editing, I want my Braille display cursor to move
along as the speech cursor does, so that it is where I am in the document
at all times. Of course, I can bring the Braille Display cursor to where
I am via the cursor routing buttons, but that isn't always efficient when
editing a long document, and when trying to quickly make a lot of needed
changes.
2. How can I configure the cursor router buttons to immediately move to
the exact character I want to work with, rather than going to the first
letter in the entire word initially? In other words, I find that I have
to hit the cursor router button twice, before it ends up exactly where I
want it for editing purposes, and I'd like to avoid that if possible.
3. How can I configure the Braille Apex voice to have a considerably
higher pitch, when I capitalize a letter? Right now, there is not much of
a difference in pitch between capitalized and noncapitalized letters, and
I'd like to change that if possible.
Again, I hope these questions are clearly verbalized. If not, please let
me know.
