Are you trying to send from a school or other public place? I can
send and receive fine but at school I can't. I think it is
because my school has the ports for gmail blocked. You may be
having the same problem as me. Take the apex to a place with a
different network and try sending and receiving again.

Hi all,
I am trying to help a student with her gmail account on an apex.
When
we try to send or receive, we get an error 530 (5.5.1) and the
operation fails. I am certain I have the right username and
password
as I can log into gmail.com with that information. The network is
good, and the apex can go online through keyweb. Any idea what I
might
be doing wrong? Oh, I have the security and port numbers all set
correctly. Thanks.
