Hello Lucy, there are ways to convert Kindle files to other
formats. Many of the books on Amazon's Kindel store have DRM
protection and can't be converted though. There are some authors
who choose not to have their books DRM protected but I would
think that most mainstream popular books will be protected.
There are ways to find and download books in Kindle as well as
other formats that would not have protection but that wouldn't
be legal downloads. Anyway, the two ways that I know of for
converting them are the website:
http://www.convertfiles.com/
and the free PC program Calibre.
If you try Calibre, you will probably need sighted help with the
program.
Good luck.
Sincerely,
John

Subject: [Braillenote] Kindle books on the BrailleNote
Hello all,
I'm wondering whether there is a way to convert books made for
the Kindle into a format that's readable with the BrailleNote. I
have an Apex BT running KS 9.2.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions!
Lucy
