what not do is: Step 1--Go to start new conversation. Step 2--Type the name of the person you wish to add. Step 3--Confirm that you wish to creaje a new contact. Step 4--Confirm that it's on Instant Messaging. Step 5--Type the person's one (or the name that you wish them to be refered to on chat). Step 6--Type their email address. Step 7--Wait for them to agree to let you see their status and to be able to chat with you. Hope this helps.
