Hi,

Output: yes. Input: no (cannot enter braille characters yet unless if it can
be implemented by BRLTTY). Bluetooth: no luck, as people at BRLTTY say Apex
uses something that they're not used to, which could hinder Bluetooth
connection.

Speaking of BN and NVDA: If Sabbahattin is still here with us, I'd like to
ask for following considerations from BRLTTY devs:

. Support for detecting scroll wheel on the Apex.

. QWERTY BN input and keyboard commands support (I know we've talked
about this before).

That's all. Thanks.

connection!

Does this work for input as well as output? Any luck with bluetooth?

Hi folks, mostly NVDA users:
I have succeeded in using Apex as a braille display with NVDA via USB
connection. Here's what you need to do:
1. Install the BrailleNote Apex UsB driver.
2. Install BRLTTY.
3. At the end of the setup screen, BRLTTY will ask you about the braille
display in use. At this point, connect the Apex to the computer via USB
port, select USB client as terminal mode connection and tell BRLTTY to use
BrailleNote connected through USB. At this point, when BRLTTY installation
is done, Apex should display "no foreground window" (in computer braille) on
the braille display.
4. From NVDA Menu, go to Preferences/Braille.
5. At the list of braille displays, select BRLTTY and click OK. The Apex
should now display what NVDA says on the screen.
Cheers,
Joseph
