By any chance is your thumb drive formatted with the NTFS file
system? You can check this on a PC by highliting the drive in
Windows Explorer, opening the context menu, and choosing
Properties. The file system in use will be displayed on the
general tab.
BrailleNotes don't support NTFS so you'll have to format it using
a different file system. FAT32 should be a good bet. Let us know
if you need specific information on how to do this. It'll have to
be done on a computer.
Of course, it's possible that this particular thumb drive is
incompatible with the BrailleNote Apex, but so far I haven't come
across any such drives - though I know they're out there! If your
drive supports any features such as unlocking it with a password,
then that would be a probable cause.
