Hi, A "message resource string" is a numeric (or alphanumeric) string that identifies messages that a program should display to user (often these are called "key entries"). I'll explain more when dealing with disk sectors and such later, as the concept of "keys" and "values" are tied to identifying where things are, for which directories provide good examples. Cheers, Joseph

The "resdisp" key will show message resource string on the left side of the braille display. When I entered it, It asked me if I wanted to use the visual display and because I don't have one, I said no. Then it asked me if I wanted to use the braille display and I said yes. It brought up a line of braille I could not read and when I tried to go to the next line of braille, it just took me back to the key management menu. I could not make it reed the contents of the braille display in keynote speech. Also, That license viewer product key did not work for me. It just told me invalid product key. What am I doing wrong with that one? ----- Original Message ----- From: "Joseph Lee" <[email protected] To: "'Dmitriy'" <[email protected]>,<[email protected] Date sent: Sat, 28 Jul 2012 18:53:30 -0700 Subject: RE: [Braillenote] Here are some easter egg urls Hi, BTW, how did you (or the other person) pull out the dj.kwb and delusions hints file from ROM? 8sinks file can be found when searching in ROM directory, but other files could not be located unless you used some other tools to inspect ROM files (about 45 to 50 MB worth of info). Also, when someone comes up with the product key for delusions, it'll mean sort of a huge update for some users. For others: The other "product keys" are: * wpa-psk: used to test WPA Personal setting on the mPower with KeySoft 7.5. * resdisp: shows resource ID's for messages (works on Apex as well). * DBCA/DBCB: availible only on Deaf-Blind Communicator. Used to allow access to full KeySoft suite or limit to KeyChat menu. * Playtime: Play braille Tetris (quite complicated to explain; see Marvin's guide). Functions that we wished or thought we could unlock with product keys (not known whether they exist): * Toggling display of keysoft system disk on Apex. * License viewer. * Ability to send and receive files via Bluetooth (not possible, but the foundation is there).
