Ok, I'll try that but really you should be able to do it anywhere like on 
PPower.

Yup that's come up on here before.  There's nothing you can do
about the thumb-keys unfortunately I don't think, but as for the
other problem, it won't always happen.  For instance, I just
experimented and it would appear that if you go to main menu, or
any other menu by the looks, and turn the braille off right there
the display should go blank.

Hi,
When turning off the braille display on Apex, it doesn't go
blank.  Instead, it continues to show the last message on the
display.  Also, the thumb keys don't work while the display is
off.  Has anyone else noticed this?
