Hi,

Thank you. This worked. Even though it still says ABT as file type, the Braillenote now recognizes it as a braille document.

Carlos,

Do the following,

If it is a book go to book reader and go to the folder where the files are located. Press chord x until you hear all files. They should show up in the list. Press enter to open the file. When it says review the options, press y for yes and then b to tell apex that it is a Braille document. Press chord e and the document is ready to read. You can read it just fine. If you want to have it as a keyword document, repeat the steps above in the word processor. After you open the file, make a change such a space then erasing it. Exit the document and you will be told that the document was modified. Do you want to save it as a keyword document? Press y or enter and name it and it will be easy to find next time. Now if you don't want to go through all that your teacher could save the document as a brf file and apex will recognize
it. This is what I do for my students.

Subject: [Braillenote] ABT Files

Hi everyone,

My VI teacher sent me some files that have the extension .abt.
is there a way I can convert these files to files that the
Braillenote Apex supports?

Thanks.
