Hi folks, As an old mailing list is going away, a new one was born to take its place. Although the admins are different individuals, you'll find same atmosphere on the new list as this one: a forum where information about BrailleNote family is discussed. As a last reminder, I the head admin of the new community-driven BrailleNote Users forum on Freelists would like to cordially invite the members of this forum to join the new list. To join our new list, simply send a blank email with the body of "subscribe" (without quotes) to [email protected]. After sending an email, be sure to follow the instructions in the confirmation email to join our list. Once joined, please read the welcome message, as it contains few important tips about our mailing list. By this time, some of you may be wondering why I (a BN Apex user) is promoting a new list. Simply put, as of september 26, 2012, this list will be no more. If this list is gone, then we might lose one of the important sources of information about BrailleNote and a place to meet fellow BN users around the world. To keep this source of info alive and to preserve a forum where BN users around the globe can interact with each other and learn new things about their units, a number of BN users decided to create a user-led mailing list. Now you may ask, is HW going to monitor the new list and how about important information in the old list's archives? We the new list) has a number of HumanWare staff on board with us, as well as expert users of BrailleNote. Also, all the necessary steps were taken to ensure preservation of the HW list's archive which will go live on the day the hW list is closed (the last step is to collect September 2012 archive, which would not happen until a day (or few hours) before the closure of this list). Thus, once again, I'd like to warmly invite the members of the HW list to join the new BN list (before it is too late). Thank you for your considerations. Sincerely, Joseph Lee BrailleNote Users community forum/Website Admin
