I wonder why Gmail changed the text-box. Do you think we could
request that they change it back?

It's not a keysoft problem (well, it sort of is). What is going
on is gMail changed the type of text box it uses for the
username, and the bn does not know what this new type of box is,
so it can't render it. It is a gMail problem in that they had to
go and change the input type, but it is a keysoft problem in that
the new type is not yet supported.

Hi,
I'm glad to know there's a way around it, but I don't really
understand why this problem is occurring. I've used this version
of keysoft since last October and have always been able to go
onto my gmail until a couple of weeks ago.

I will post it again. A lot of people on the braillenote list
have been talking about having problems signing in to gmail with
there braillenotes. This inspired me to find a way around the
problem and do a podcast and article about it. Some people like
a
podcast so they can listen and follow along. Some others like a
written copy they can read. So I have done it both ways. It
took
a lot of playing around, but I found a way to get in to gmail.
This is how you sign in to gmail. One of the steps requires a
modified html page which you load in to keyweb. I can send you
the page if you want it. This is what you have to do to sign in
to gmail. There are 3 steps. The steps work with scripting on
or
off. Step 1. go to gmail.com. Just put in your password and
click
the sign in button. Don't worry about your username at this
step.
Step 2. go to the modified html page which you can store on any
drive or folder. Type your username and password and click the
sign in button. Step 3. You will be taken to a page where it
will
ask you for your password again. You just type the password and
don't worry about the username. Then click the sign in button.
After that, you should be in your account. If you get a message
saying `Your browser's cookie functionality is turned off,
please
turn it on`, Then it probably means that you did one of the
steps
wrong, you did one of the steps in the wrong order or you missed
a step. If this happens, clear your cookies and delete your
temporary internet files and start again from step 1. I hope
you
found this article and the podcast useful. If you have any
questions or comments about this article or if you would like a
copy of this article, the podcast or the modified html page, you
can email me using the email address [email protected]

Hi,
I have no idea what it is however all of us are having the same
issue.
I think I saw a fix put on the list but I do not know anything
about it.

Hi friends. I am having a Gmail issue where everytime I need to
get onto the online page with my Apex, it shows the password
field, but not the username field. What is going on? It worked
fine before the KeySoft got upgraded, but now that I got the
latest in KeySoft, Gmail appears to be broken.
