Hi all, So I sent my Apex BT into Humanware in late August because a few keys were squeaking on my keyboard. Humanware replaced the entire keyboard on my Apex with a brand new one.
The keyboard is now significantly quieter than the previous one, but here's the odd thing. The ENTER key behaves in exactly the same way that the ENTER key behaved on my older keyboard. There's a slight--squeak, or extra sound, that exists when you press the ENTER key down, which does not happen when pressing other keys. There's a bit of a different sound, and/or feel. Given that my previous keyboard behaved in exactly the same fashion, and given that it is the same key on a brand-new keyboard, I'm wondering if maybe this is normal and I'm being a bit too obsessive. So I want to ask my fellow Apex BT users: if you think about it as objectively as possible, does your ENTER key produce a slightly different (maybe louder) sound than the rest of your keys? Is there maybe a slightly different feel to it? Or are all your keys equally as smooth as butter, and the ENTER key doesn't behave any differently than any other key? Try pressing it slowly down to observe the sound it makes when it is being depressed. Cheers. Grant ___ Replies to this message will go directly to the sender.
