you cannot use any application that has not been specifically designed for the bn family of products.
The bookshare unpack utility allows for the unzipping of documents, but does not work as a zipping utility. To unzip a non bookshare file, simply go into the file manager by hitting f from the main menu, then press r for rename file. Select the drive, folder, and document, and rename it giving the file a .bks extension. (.bks are simply .zip files) Then follow the instructions given for unpacking a bks book found in the manual, beginning in section 4.10.
