I hope someone can offer a quick and easy solution to this problem. Some email
I receive have funny characters in them. One is from a friend of mine so I
asked her to send her emails in plain text format instead of html. Now the
characters just appear at the top and the bottom of her emails. The characters
are less than, greater than (those words are written out), the letters div
written together, and various slashes. In some emails I receive from email
lists the characters appear in the text of the message and it makes it very
hard and it is annoying to read these messages. I assume it is some formatting
issue with how the emails are being written. Any ideas on how to read these
emails normally? I apologize if this has been discussed before.
