Hi. I'm wondering, will special discounts be offered to NFB's "rehab
center"? They claim that if you go to Baltimore for their indoctrination,
you'll get better rehab services than are offered thru state agencies. So,
my question is: will their supposed rehab center have a leg up on other
rehab centers in purchasing PDI's equipment?
Thanks,
Doug Martin

Hi all,
Jerry, let's wait and see what happens. I have heard from a reliable
source that ACB is cutting a deal as we speak. So at least they are
giving equal time. I do think, though that the emphasis shouldn't be
on consumer group affiliation but rather on whether one is purchasing
whatever it is as a consumer or as a client of a rehab agency. This
kind of policy would make sense to me.
<smile> I think, Jonathan, that perhaps the folks at Humanware are
not aware of the emotional baggage which many of us carry around. We
spend our lives fighting The System and fighting to make a place for
ourselves. When organizations which are supposed to be working in our
interests makes a strategic error like this, the reaction is likely to
be more vehement than if we weren't who we are. We're accustomed to
seeing the worst, therefore we do. I guess it's part of the
territory.
