Yes, the Bible can be downloaded and read. Go to www.braille.org and click on the International Braille Library link There, you'll see, among other things, the Ing James version of the Bible. It's contained in 3 zipped files, 2 for the OT, and 1 for the NT. You can download them, and then unpack them, using the bookshare utility, remembering to change the extension from "zip" to "bks."
