[Braillenote] How to use active sink with no infered or serial port

I'm pretty sure the answer is to bad you can't but I'll ask anyway. I have a
laptop with no infered or serial port. I do have the network card for the
Braille note, how can I use active sink? I have a keyspan serial USB adaptor
but it doesn't appear to work with active sink only with the Braille note as
a Braille display. Appreciate any info.
