Hi, Riana. The speed of the internal modem is indeed 56 K. If you connect the serial port to a cell phone, it connects at 19200.

 Dear List,

In a message which Paul sent a few days ago, he mentions that the bn's modem speed is only 19.200 any way. If this is the case, what is the benefit of our 56.600 internal modem? That will also explain why my 28.800 board rate modem on the pc connects/downloads faster than that of the bn/vn, or am I missing something here?

Riana
