Hi Jill

Actually I had my Bookport before I acquired my Braillenote. The Bookport is
very small and fits into a pocket easily. It runs off two double a batteries
which last roughly 50 hours. It can play either mp3 files or text and comes
with a 64 mb flash card, although you can buy larger flash cards easily. I
find it useful if I wish to listen to a book whilst I am working around the
house, or generally when there is no need for me to write notes etc. It is
extremely light and portable, and obviously is much cheaper and more convenient
to replace if anything drastic did happen to it. I would use the Bookport in
situations where I would be concerned about the risk to the Braillenote if I
used it, (for example, whilst my youngest child aged 2 is in mischief mode).

Hope this helps.

Best wishes

Donna.
