Hi Lance. Do you have any other software that might be preventing 
ActiveSync from gaining control of the comport, such as having set your 
screen reader to look for a Braille display or synthesiser on that port? 
Anything else that uses the port needs to be disabled in order that 
ActiveSync can have access to it.
