Hi Maria. Part of the problem is that the problem is not replicable. I've
had it occasionally since version 3.06 and still have it in version 4.02.
What happens is that I go into the jump to page thing and give it a
position, and I get a beep and an error message. I haven't really
experimented to see whether this happens only in certain files, but often
when it happens within a file it will happen several times even when you
search for other positions. I find this most annoying when I want to see how
long a document is; I'll check my current position and then go down to the
bottom of the file and check there. But when I try to return to my original
position it can't find it. It's quite annoying! My usual solution is to try
to remember some text near the place and search for it instead, but that's
not always a great solution.
