Michael: The BN battery is NIMH. This type battery is best for this application, rugged, has a long life, & will take many recharges. Lithium technology is great, but I don't believe it can withstand the abuse it might receive in a BN. Also, that technology does not yet have a proven recharge record equivalent to NIMH.
