Hi all especially you persons in the Uk.
the gps maps are not only full of spelling mistakes but are very much out of date. be very carefull when trying to plan a route in virtual as it is impossible. I think the problem lies in the acquiring of map data from the company that pdi have got it from. if you could see a screen you could purchase a gps receiver with the capability to be able to create routes with a via command for example
Sheffield to Leeds via m1
the gps is grate when walking about as it can tell you how far the next street junction is unlike the trecker but our map data is years out of date. I think the problem is cost. for pdi to be able to purchase up-to-date map data it would be very expensive. I am not sure what is needed for us but at the moment it is no use trying to create routes at all in the uk. you can buy map data for gps receivers but some modification has to be made so we can use it on the braille note. all the best for now.
